More Florentine Adventures!

So after trekking around Europe for a week we returned to Florence and decided to make the most of our weekend before the start of classes. We spent our Sunday grabbing the best sandwiches at Pino's which you 100% have to go to if you ever make it here! So we took our food and went to see the Boboli Gardens, located just behind the Pitti Palace! I have been hearing for a while how the Boboli Gardens are a must, and now I finally know why! These gardens are massive and unbelievably stunning. They go on for days and are filled with statues, fountains, and plenty of hills to help walk off those sandwiches! There isn't too much to say about the Gardens other than they will take your breath away and give you some amazing views of the city. They also let you get away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and let you see a little bit of the country side.

Here are some view of the amphitheater and the fountain near the entrance all after a long walk uphill! The real view comes if you keep walking up the hill towards the Porcelain Museum! This is where you get to see a little bit of the Florentine countryside. We couldn't have asked for better weather and it's still unbelievably warm here!

After we thought we had seen everything the Boboli Gardens had to offer we came across the Bacchus Fountain!

After seeing the fountain we came across one last surprise, The Buontalenti Grotto. While I can't tell you too much about this, its one of most impressive works of art I have seen yet! This work is tucked away and can easily missed so you have to keep an eye out, but once you find it, it's incredible!

This was the perfect end to a beautiful weekend, and made me even more excited to be back home in Florence!
